For years, Hillsong United has been my favorite worship music. They have an amazing anointing and are incredibly gifted musicians and songwriters. Over the last year or so I have heard people mention Phil Wickham. They kept saying I should check them out and I never did, for no other reason than laziness.
When he recently released his Singalong album free from his website I thought it was a perfect time to seriously check him out. When I heard the first song I immediately fell in love with his music. THIS guy has an incredible anointing also, and his music and lyrics are terrifically written. I have been hooked since. Phil is actually reaching the #1 spot on my list of favorite worship music. He might even be tied with Hillsong United (we'll see what happens with their next album).
