How many of you have come into a new job position and a few months in you learn about MORE tasks that are on your plate that you did not know about when you first started? Well, a few months back I was part of the merging of two departments: Membership and Volunteers. Some of my work was passed on to other people, I retained some of my work, and other tasks were given to me. Then I learn today that there are even more things that are on my plate. Bigger responsibility, not just bigger tasks. In one sense it is kind of nice because I have been scrounging for work lately, but gosh... bigger work.

With more pay comes more responsibility... but where is my more pay?

Here is a pic I took the other day of the fountain in our church's courtyard. This fountain actually doubles as our baptismal (I think you would have to see it to really understand). This is a nice shot overlooking Loma Linda University Medical Center.

A question that has come up in myself: What news channel do you watch? Why?
I have been a fan of ABC News for most of my life, mainly because it is very professional and they do a good job of covering the news. For the past year or so I have been watching Fox 11 news in the morning. Mainly because my wife prefers it, but also because it's a lot more relaxed, they don't take everything so seriously, and they have an obvious right-wing slant. The one draw back is that they do a LOT of "celebrity coverage" or "celebrity gossip." The other night my wife expressed how she doesn't like the gossip so I returned to ABC, despite it's left-wing slant. How do you choose your news? What factors are in play and which factors carry more weight?

This is a pic of my red-hot, smoking wife in our pop-up trailer a few months back. The layer is courtesy of Nuno.

This shot was taken at Doheney Beach, CA right before the sun set. My father-in-law and I had to throw rocks at the birds to get some action from them (No birds were harmed). This shot turned out pretty good.

This is Joey. I've known this kid since he was like 2. This photo was taken at our church's Volunteer Banquet.

I joined all the cool kids and got myself a DSLR. Therefore, I will be posting some of my "photography". Also, I'll share some linkage of those whose photography I enjoy.
So, check out Daley Hake. This guy inspires my art (EDIT: Yes, I stole his theme... but it's so cool!! 2/11/08 4:01 PM).
